Isaac Newton (1643–1727) was an English physicist, mathematician, and astronomer. He is considered one of the greatest scientists in history. Newton’s work had a major impact on the development of physics and mathematics. His discoveries are still used today in many fields of science and technology.

Newton studied at the University of Cambridge, where he learned mathematics, physics, and astronomy. Later, he became a professor at the university. During his lifetime, he conducted many scientific studies and wrote important books that changed people’s understanding of the laws of nature.

Newton formulated the three laws of motion, which explain how objects move. He also discovered the law of universal gravitation, which explains why all objects are attracted to the Earth and how the planets move around the Sun.

According to a famous story, Isaac Newton was sitting under an apple tree when an apple fell to the ground. This made him wonder why objects always fall downward instead of moving in another direction. As a result of this curiosity, he developed the law of universal gravitation. Although historians are not certain whether the apple actually fell on his head or simply nearby, the story has become one of the most famous symbols of scientific discovery.
